Nokia Showcases Mobile of the Future

Nokia recently showcased an innovative mobile phone concept — at Nokia World — that makes use of a touchscreen interface rather than the traditional keypad. Video after the jump.

I really like touchscreen idea. And Macaca, I wouldn’t worry about the poles shifting too much. The last time it happened was 800 million years ago, during the Precambrian period. And it didn’t happen over night, rather over the span of 20 million years. And it didn’t completely switch, but rather shift by about 50 degrees.

In the future there’s a good chance there wont be anymore designer phones for some time because when the poles shift (maybe 2012) its a one-way ticket back to the stoneage.
